About Madison
I am a recent graduate from the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities where I graduate with my B.S. in Developmental Psychology. I have a passion for social emotional learning and developmentally appropriate approaches to learning. I was an Associate Teacher at Bright Horizons where I taught all age groups - infants to school aged children! I love to learn, but I also know that learning can be frustrating and defeating at times. Finding the balance between what needs to be taught and what capacity a child has for learning that day is key.

- prioritizing active learning and teaching rather than just professing information
- debrief sessions post tutoring... what went well? what went, not so well? what is needed for next session?
- learning is fun, but it can also be stressful! Understanding that some days may not be as extrinsically successful, but more gets accomplished when children are given the space to learn at their own pace!
