About Joanie
Hi️ I am Joanie and I have just graduated from Durham University where I spent 4 years working towards an integrated master's in engineering. I have always loved finding new ways to learn and building new methods to get the most out of learning and actually enjoy it (as far as is possible!). I love teaching for two reasons: 1) seeing students finally understand something and be excited by it and 2) helping students to progress towards their goals.

I like to discuss and build a tutoring plan specific to the student, whether that be working through a syllabus or preparing for upcoming exams. Sessions will focus on targeting any weak areas and will be made up of the following: *Understanding (this will be very visual, with interactive drawing) *Recall and memory (quick recall to keep previous sessions fresh in the student's mind) *Example Questions *Take home questions that we will go through the following session Lessons can be 1-2 hours depending on the student's needs. At A-level I studied Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry and achieved A*s in all of these subjects as well as in an Extended Project Qualification. I offer tutoring in these subjects at A-Level and GCSE where I also offer Biology and Computer Science teaching. I also have experience in tutoring 11+ and helping with school work through younger years. Beyond this, I would love to help students with any university applications related to these subjects.
