About Michael
I am a qualified teacher with 4 years of experience. I teach science up to GCSE and physics A-level and have tutored science and maths for much longer. In fact, I tutored full time for almost 2 years before becoming a teacher.

My methods are fairly traditional. I ensure students know basic facts and techniques and then gradually build up problems. I believe discussion is important and try to get students to look at things from a variety of angles. I think it's important they can discuss subjects at a high level as they would not usually get access to individualised attention. Whilst I don't teach strictly to the exam, I do ensure students are well prepared for it and have good exam technique.

Details
I have a 48 hour cancellation policy for face-to-face lessons and a 24 hour cancellation policy for online lessons where I will still charge for lessons if this notice is not given.
However, I will offer to rearrange the lesson at no further cost up to once per term if it is cancelled at short notice.
Likewise, in the unlikely event that I cancel a lesson at short notice I will offer to rearrange the lesson any time up to one month with an extra lesson or by extending other lessons. I will also allow customers to simply cancel the lesson. If I were to cancel another lesson at short notice I would offer the next lesson at half price.
