About Tom
I am a qualified teacher, teaching mathematics and economics at a secondary school in South London.
I have been tutoring for 7 years, mostly at MyTutor.co.uk (formerly MyTutorWeb.co.uk) and also in person.
I have helped students to get top grades in A level and GCSE mathematics and economics.

I teach using direct instruction, which involves worked examples, often requiring students to then answer questions on mini whiteboards. This is followed by independent work where I am there to help with any questions the student may have.
I expect students to complete work outside of tutorials and regularly set exam questions or homework for this.
