About Kiana

Hi, I’m Kiana! I’m a qualified teacher with a Bachelor of Education degree and experience teaching both in the classroom and online.

Teaching has given me the opportunity to work with learners from different backgrounds, ages and English levels. I especially enjoy helping students become more confident in their ability to communicate and seeing them progress from feeling hesitant about speaking English to expressing themselves more naturally.

I’m a patient, friendly and supportive teacher who believes that learning should be enjoyable as well as meaningful. I understand that every student learns differently, which is why I take the time to understand your individual goals, strengths and areas you would like to improve.

As a teacher, I aim to create an environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and challenging yourself. I want my students to feel that their lessons are a space where they can learn without pressure while still making consistent progress.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, running and cooking. I also love meeting people from different countries and learning about their cultures and experiences.

My lessons are designed to help you speak English with greater confidence, fluency and ease in real-life situations.

Each lesson is personalised according to your English level, goals, interests and learning needs. I believe that the best way to improve your English is to actively use it, so my lessons include plenty of speaking practice while still developing the grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation you need to communicate accurately.

During our lessons, we may focus on:
• Conversational English and fluency
• Speaking confidence
• Vocabulary and useful everyday expressions
• Grammar and sentence structure
• Pronunciation and natural speech
• Listening comprehension
• Phrasal verbs and idiomatic expressions
• English for travel, work and everyday situations

I teach both children and adults, from beginner to more advanced levels. Whether you want to become more confident in conversation, improve your fluency, expand your vocabulary, strengthen your grammar and pronunciation, or develop your reading and communication skills, I will tailor our lessons to suit you. I use a variety of activities, including guided conversations, role-plays, discussion topics, listening exercises, vocabulary activities and practical grammar tasks.

My lessons are supportive and relaxed, so you don't have to be afraid of making mistakes. I will help you identify areas for improvement and give you constructive feedback while encouraging you to speak as much English as possible.

Whether you're a beginner who wants to become more comfortable speaking English or an advanced learner who wants to sound more natural and fluent, your lessons will be adapted to help you achieve your individual goals.

My standard rate is R350 per hour for personalised online English lessons.

Each lesson is tailored to the student’s individual needs, level and learning goals.

I welcome both children and adults, and adapt my teaching style and materials to suit each learner. For younger students, lessons are engaging, supportive and age-appropriate, with activities designed to build vocabulary, grammar, reading, speaking and confidence. Adult learners can focus on conversational English, fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar and everyday communication.

Every lesson includes personalised learning materials, guided practice and constructive feedback to support steady progress.
