About Mya
I am an 18-year-old psychology student who has grown up around communication and health her whole life. My mother is an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) and my aunt is a neuro-therapist whom I occasionally work with. As for writing, I do come across as friendly, but in high school I was nominated to the NHSHSS (National Honors Society of High School Scholars) by my psychology and English teacher. I won an award through the state of Texas for my writing in my freshman year and made a 10 on my ACT writing.

I specialize in getting to know you and what type of learning you work best with! sometimes, things are not taught in a way you can truly understand, so I attempt to find an interest you have and hopefully combine it with the subject you need help with. I believe communication comes first no matter what you're learning and I'm here to figure out how to best teach you whatever you need help with.
Say you're good at art, or maybe you enjoy comics and Batman, I can find a way to incorporate that into our sessions so hopefully you'll enjoy it and it'll stick with you!
I have worked with children, ages 5-17 who experience issues related to ADHD, OCD, ADD, and Neurotypical issues of all kinds. No one is just thrilled to study, I get it, it's exhausting but hopefully, I can make it a bit more enjoyable for you! I look forward to getting to know you :)
