About Sarah

With over two decades of dedicated experience in "Outstanding" British and International schools, I offer a level of pedagogical expertise that ensures every student feels seen, supported, and challenged. As a fully qualified teacher holding a PGCE and the specialist iSENCO (International Special Educational Needs Coordinator) qualification, my practice is built upon a foundation of academic rigor and professional integrity. I have successfully led Inclusion departments and classrooms across the UAE and the UK, which has afforded me a deep understanding of the National Curriculum for England and the diverse needs of international learners. My background is not merely in "tutoring," but in high-level educational leadership and bespoke intervention, providing you with the reassurance that your child’s learning is in the hands of a seasoned professional.

My methodology is rooted in the belief that confidence is the prerequisite for academic success. I specialize in transforming the learning experience for Students of Determination and those facing barriers to progress by using evidence-based, multisensory techniques that make the complex accessible. By fostering a nurturing environment built on mutual respect and clear expectations, I help students develop the resilience and executive functioning skills they need to navigate their educational journey independently. Whether we are closing specific gaps in literacy and numeracy or preparing for the transition between Key Stages, my approach is consistently solution-focused and data-driven. I am committed to maintaining the highest professional standards, ensuring that every session is an aspirational step toward your child reaching their full potential.

Specialist Methodology and Experience
I am a fully qualified teacher with over twenty years of experience in "Outstanding" British and International schools, underpinned by a PGCE and an iSENCO qualification. My teaching methodology is rooted in Adaptive Teaching and Universal Design for Learning (UDL), focusing on removing barriers to success for students aged 4 to 14 (FS–KS3). I utilise a multisensory, solution-focused approach that breaks complex National Curriculum concepts into manageable "micro-steps," ensuring that Students of Determination—including those with Dyslexia, ADHD, ASD, or EAL needs—can build confidence and academic resilience. By integrating metacognitive strategies and assistive tools like Widgit symbols and digital scaffolds, I empower learners not just to find the correct answer, but to master the executive functioning skills necessary for independent lifelong learning.

Lesson Structure and Targeted Support
My lessons are meticulously planned to suit the developmental stage of the child, typically lasting 45 minutes for Primary/KS1 learners to maintain high engagement, and 60 minutes for Key Stage 2 and 3 students to allow for a rigorous deep-dive into subject matter. Each session is bespoke, starting with a retrieval activity to consolidate prior knowledge, followed by targeted instruction in literacy, numeracy, or study skills, and concluding with a reflective plenary to track progress against IEP goals. Whether delivering high-intensity 30-minute "booster" sessions for phonics or comprehensive curriculum support, I provide a nurturing yet aspirational environment. My sessions are designed for families seeking high-end specialist expertise to bridge academic gaps and foster a genuine love for learning in a supportive, trust-based atmosphere.
