About Sharna

Hello, I’m Sharna.

I have an undergraduate degree in Social Psychology and Criminology, with a particular focus on child development, psychopathology, and human behaviour. I have always been fascinated by what influences the way people think, feel, and interact with the world around them, which is what initially drew me to Psychology and Sociology.

I enjoy helping students develop confidence in their understanding of these subjects and supporting them as they navigate complex theories, research, and academic writing. I understand that subjects such as Psychology and Sociology can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I aim to break concepts down into clear, engaging, and relatable explanations.

My teaching style is friendly, patient, and supportive. I believe that students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions and exploring ideas without fear of getting things wrong. My goal is not only to help students achieve their academic objectives but also to develop their confidence, critical thinking skills, and enjoyment of learning.

About the lesson

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, learning style, and academic goals. I can provide support with topics including social psychology, child development, psychopathology, sociological theory, research methods, essay writing, critical analysis, revision strategies, and exam preparation. I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel confident asking questions, developing their understanding, and applying concepts to real-world situations. Lessons are designed to build both subject knowledge and academic confidence.
