About Emma
I earned my M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Washington and have been tutoring programming in Seattle for 7 years. Alongside tutoring, I work as a full-stack developer at a local tech firm, building web applications daily. I also have hands-on experience with AI concepts and projects, which I incorporate into my lessons to help students understand both practical coding and emerging technologies.

I teach programming fundamentals—variables, loops, and functions—using interactive examples. We build small web applications with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to apply concepts immediately. I cover debugging techniques and introduce version control with Git to help you learn real-world workflows. Lessons are tailored: beginners focus on syntax and logic; intermediate learners work on connecting front-end (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to simple back-end services using PHP and Python.
