About Aubrey
My name is Aubrey. I'm a Yoga Instructor based in the beautiful Australian city, Melbourne.
Originally from Texas, I began my travels in 2016 and delved deeply into the world of yogic philosophy, organic gardening, and holistic health and beauty regimes. I found that through the vehicle of yoga, I was able to break through limiting beliefs I held about myself and others, all while increasing my strength and flexibility, and improving my outlook on the world at large.
Yoga quickly became a healthy obsession of mine, and enhanced my life in the most unexpected ways. It fortified my ability to manage stress, encouraged me to make happy choices in the kitchen, and gently nudged me into nature walks. I spent many moments on my mat in the great outdoors, filling my lungs with fresh air and feeling free within my body, mind, and spirit.
It's no surprise that I began teaching yoga almost a decade ago, offering classes not only in the movement practice itself, but in the philosophy of yoga, the traditional ways of breathing to steady the mind and instill peace within the Central Nervous System, and the insightful meditations that brought clarity to my students' lives outside of the yoga studio, time and time again.
My mission is to preserve the integrity of the authentic teachings of yoga, while providing adaptations to the practice so that it may be accessible to all ages, all bodies, and all people who are willing to learn and lean into the magic! Yoga is so much more than a physical discipline; it is a form of energy-healing, cleansing the entire body through the flow of prana, which we will be kindling and transmuting throughout the duration of our sessions.
I will deliver to you the real deal of yoga, not just the watered-down fantasy versions seen across Western fitness gyms. I bring to you the real yoga, which is suitable for those who are willing to explore the spirituality behind the movement of yoga asanas. I explain to you the meanings behind the yoga that we are doing, and equip you with the best knowledge for enjoying this beautiful, healing art for a lifetime, not just a season!

- 5 minutes meditation and pranayama (breathing excercises)
- 40 minutes of yoga flow (movement)
- 10 minutes of yoga "play" (establish new techniques via workshop-style learning)
- 5 minutes Savasana (rest and integration)

- I am particularly skillful in providing adaptations for 50s+
