About EVAN
Evan Tintle Charpentier began her study of voice at age thirteen, honing and pursuing her craft all the way to a BA at Vassar College in 2003 (double-majoring in music and drama, and receiving Honors in Music) and a Master of Music from Montclair State University in 2007. Evan’s studies have brought her to Spoleto, Italy, for the Spoleto Arts Symposium, and given her the opportunity to perform in masterclasses with figures like Mira Zakai, Ned Rorem, and Zehava Gall. Evan has taught voice and piano for studios in Denville, Wayne, Pompton Lakes, Cliffside Park, and Morris Plains. Evan is also an accomplished liturgical musician, having worked as a section leader and soloist for the United Methodist Church of Bernardsville, and currently as the Music Director for Our Lady of Mt. Virgin Church in Garfield. She's also an avid theater fan, and has performed in community theaters all over New Jersey. Evan also music directs and plays in pit orchestras.

I've been making music professionally and teaching voice for almost twenty years. I believe everyone should make music - it is good for your brain, good for your health, and good for your soul! I'm also experienced at distance/remote learning as I continued to teach all through the pandemic.
