About Stiffler Yanic
Hi, I am Stiffler Yanic, a dedicated Computer Science student at Mapúa University with a strong passion for helping others excel in their technical and academic pursuits. As a university scholar and consistent President's and Dean's Lister, I understand firsthand the discipline, focus, and study strategies required to achieve high academic standards.
My expertise extends beyond the classroom. I bring practical, hands-on experience to my teaching, having developed full-stack applications, designed centralized management systems for real clients, and competed in hackathons. Additionally, I serve as a Cybersecurity Officer for the Google Developer Group on Campus (GDGoC), which has further honed my ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.

Are you struggling with complex math or feeling lost in your computing classes? As a high-achieving Computer Science student and scholar, my goal is to make learning both intuitive and highly practical.
My Teaching Method & Techniques:
I believe in learning by doing. I love using a hands-on, step-by-step approach that takes you through each step and makes sure you understand it properly before moving on to the next. I also like to teach my own unique methods that have helped me calculate relatively fast compared to my peers, as someone heavily involved in maths, especially in Computer Science.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
1. Concept Review (10 mins): We start by reviewing the theoretical concepts or specific topics you are currently finding difficult.
2. Guided Practice (25 mins): We work through exercises, equations, or code snippets together step-by-step.
3. Independent Challenge (15 mins): You tackle a targeted problem on your own to solidify your understanding, followed by a review of your work.
4. Wrap-up & Q&A (10 mins): Clarifying any lingering doubts and discussing our focus for the next session.
