About Diya
During secondary school I tutored groups of students inter sciences as a lunchtime club. The aim of this was to build their confidence for upcoming exams this also allowed me to improve my teaching skills. After completing 4 medical interviews during my university application, I feel that my interview skills have improved dramatically. I would be happy to give advice to anyone looking to apply for medicine.

I find it most effective to establish a base knowledge and then to build on this each lesson by regularly testing them to check that they can apply knowledge in exam context. I ensure that each lesson makes students actively think and involves memory building techniques. For my own GCSEs I focused hard on my weakest areas and reviewed them weekly. One of the benefits of having a tutor is that I can personalise each lesson in order to make the best use of time for each student. I also find it most effective to
incorporate different styles of learning in each session such as active learning, quizzing etc.
