Review services:
I offer invidually-tailored reviews of coursework assignments, reports/essays and theses (up to Masters level and dependent on subject area).
Tutorials:
I like to make sure the student is comfortable and establish their baseline knowledge on the subject. This is done in a free introductory tutorial through a mix of gentle questioning and exploring key subject concepts, ensuring they have the tools to approach the problem.
It is important to see how the student reasons through their answer, addressing the steps they took and any problems along the way, ensuring they understand any mistskes. Know that mistakes are not a big deal - they show us how to improve!
Above all, it is important to encourage a growth mindset so that the student looks forward to the next lesson and improving their understanding for the future.
Structure of a course:
-Establish base knowledge
-Understand the question being asked
-Explore possible routes to answering the question
-Understanding the final answer and how it fits into the wider subect
-Prepare the material using effective revision techniques

- We were able to jump straight into the lesson and he was very receptive to my advice as we worked through the excercise. I was glad to see him book another lesson with me, I look forward to working with him again!Padraig's response :
Perfect! Padraig is tutoring my son in B-tec Engineering and Maths. Padraig is very friendly and approachable and is completely open to focus on areas/concepts that the student would like to master. My son finds Padraig’s style of tutoring clear and easy to understand - he understood new work/concepts quickly and he feels comfortable asking Padraig questions, if need be. I would highly recommend Paidrag as a tutor.
- Lauren's son was happily able to cover a lot of ground in the first session. He enjoys my style of teaching and was receptive for the entire lesson. What a great student!Padraig's response :
