I have taught from ages 5-retired, and I love teaching at all stages! Most lessons are 30-60 minutes. I have a PGCE in instrumental teaching and also studied at Durham University and Trinity Laban. I studied the piano with concert pianist Kate Elmitt at her piano academy in Arlesey. My pupils have an excellent track record in exams and performances. I currently teach at James Allen Girls' School in Dulwich and for Merton Music Foundation. I have previously taught for Music Masters, the Purcell School and Wells Cathedral School. I teach pupils at their homes or online within commuting distance to Greenwich.

Sophie is an excellent teacher. I am an adult beginner, and in just an hour she managed to fix all of the major problems that I have been having (so far!), and has made me feel comfortable practising on my own until our next lesson. Highly recommended!
Sophie is an excellent musician and diligent, hardworking tutor who would do her utmost to help any student improve their musical capabilities and understanding. I would highly recommend her as a tutor and have also enjoyed performing together with her in the past in our string quartet.
Sophie is very Knowledgeable in her area and always willing to take on a new challenge. Having worked alongside her for the last year I cannot recomend her enough.
