About Badger
I’m a Physics graduate and practising artist based in Bournemouth, with a genuine love of maths, physics, and figuring out how things work.
What I enjoy most is the moment when something that seemed confusing suddenly clicks. I’m much more interested in helping someone understand why a method works than simply teaching them to memorise the steps.
My own background crosses science, art and practical problem-solving, so I’m comfortable approaching a difficult idea from different directions. If the textbook explanation isn’t working, we can draw it, visualise it, break it into smaller pieces, try an analogy, or work through problems together until we find an approach that does.
I want my lessons to feel relaxed and collaborative: somewhere you can ask the “stupid question”, get things wrong, be curious, and actually enjoy solving problems.
I’m particularly interested in helping students who are curious and capable but may have lost some confidence in maths or physics, or simply need someone to explain things differently.

I’m a Physics graduate who loves helping people understand why maths and physics work, rather than simply memorising methods.
My approach is relaxed, curious and problem-focused. We can work through topics that aren’t quite clicking, tackle exam questions together, or go back to first principles and find a different way of looking at a difficult concept.
I particularly enjoy working with students who are curious but have lost confidence, or who find that the way something is explained in the classroom just doesn’t quite make sense to them.
I’m happy to tutor GCSE and A-Level Maths and Physics, adapting sessions to the student and what they want to achieve.
