About Róisín
During my PhD at the University of Surrey I helped with quantum physics and chemistry tutorials. This involved teaching undergraduate and masters students. After my masters degree I took on several mathematics and science students for A-level and GCSE.
Meanwhile, through being a girl guide leader for 4.5 years, I have learnt how to entertain and motivate young children.
As detailed above, my relevant qualifications are my integrated masters degree in physics (2:1 honours from Queen's University Belfast), with level 2 modules in applied mathematics and level 1 in pure mathematics.
I also have 4 science A-levels.
I can't validate my PhD in quantum biology (were biological systems were modelled using computational chemistry) as I still have some paper work to wait for, but I passed the viva this December.

Hi,
I am getting back into tutoring this month, having recenttly finished my PhD in quantum biology, using computational chemistry (which involved alot of tutoring physics undergraduates).
Having previously tutored in Belfast, I am now based in London. Though I would prefer to do online courses I am open to travelling around East London.
I can tutor A-level/ GCSE physics or mathematical mechanics for A-level, or CGSE mathematics. I am also open to tutoring younger students.
I like to follow an exam syllabus to ensure good grades, but still focus on consolidating increasingly complex ideas with the student.
Before I started my PhD I gained four A2 levels in the science (A* biology, A mathematics and physics and B in chemistry) and a 2:1 in an integrated masters in physics from Queen's University Belfast.
I hope we meet someday. :)
