I commit to student goals in the long-term, creating frameworks that are usable and applicable to the student form day 1. My approach is extraordinarily personal, and I am highly motivated to tutor students suffering from math anxiety.
After teaching and tenure, I realized I began to miss the interactions that led to true understanding and appreciation of mathematics as well as empowerment to carry the knowledge forward.
A typical session with me involves identifying obstacles, classifying them and creating strategies with which to overcome them. This involves everything from high-level overviews to -in-the-weeds detail work with examples and homework. All students are provided with copious documentation and custom materials to work with between sessions.
