About Koen
I am a chemist with a doctoral degree from Belgium and post-doc research experience in the USA, specialised in inorganic chemistry and material science. I have been teaching for about 5 years at university level and have been training and mentoring new PhD candidates. I have recently moved from academia to industry and work now as a research scientist in the UK.

My teaching method starts with an overview of the relevant theory, followed with exercises. I always help the student to visualise the exercise questions by making a schematic of the problem, which helps to determine the strategy to solve it.
