About Jisheng
I’m a math/physics tutor with a BA in Physics from Grinnell College and a PhD in Astronomy & Astrophysics from the University of Chicago, followed by postdoctoral research at Princeton University. My academic background is rooted in advanced mathematics and problem-solving, which I bring into my teaching in a clear and accessible way.
I have over 10 years of teaching and tutoring experience, working with high school students, college students, and adult learners. I’ve tutored calculus and physics one-on-one, led lab and review sessions at UChicago, and taught courses through Raritan Valley Community College.
My goal is to make difficult concepts easier to understand while helping students build confidence and independence. I keep sessions focused, supportive, and tailored to each student’s needs.
