About Elise
I have a passion for both science and education, with my 3 years biotechnology/pharmaceuticals experience and currently working as a teaching assistant. Throughout my studies and professional experience, I often found myself helping classmates and colleagues understand complex topics in chemistry, biology, and pharmacology. I discovered that I really enjoy breaking down difficult concepts into clear, simple explanations and seeing the moment when it finally “clicks” for someone. Tutoring allows me to share my knowledge while supporting others to achieve their goals—whether that’s improving grades, preparing for exams and interviews or building confidence in science subjects. I believe learning should be engaging and practical, so I use real-life examples from, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals to make lessons relevant and memorable. My aim is not only to help students succeed academically but also to inspire an interest in science that they can carry into their future.

I am a Pharmaceuticals graduate with a strong foundation in chemistry, biology, and pharmacology, offering tutoring for both high school and university students. My teaching philosophy focuses on breaking down complex scientific ideas into simple, practical explanations that help students truly understand and apply their knowledge. I use real-world examples from medicine, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals to make lessons engaging and relevant. Whether it’s mastering high school chemistry concepts, tackling university-level biochemistry or pharmacology, or improving lab report writing, I tailor each session to the student’s learning style and goals. A typical 1-hour lesson is structured as follows: • 5–10 mins – Quick review of previous content & identifying areas of difficulty. • 35–40 mins – Main teaching session (explaining key topics, working through problems, and applying concepts with examples). • 5–10 mins – Practice questions or application tasks to reinforce learning. • 5 mins – Wrap-up and recap, with a short plan for what to focus on before the next session. I also provide guidance on study techniques, exam preparation, and scientific writing, ensuring students not only improve their grades but also gain confidence in their skills. My goal is to help students succeed academically while building a strong foundation for future studies and careers in science and health.
