About Joy
I don't think every learner needs one-to-one coaching.
But I do think some learners thrive when they have someone's undivided attention.
A child who gets distracted easily.
A child who needs more time to process.
A child who has lots of questions.
A child who understands better when they're allowed to explain things in their own words.
A child who is capable but needs someone to slow down with them.
For these learners, one-to-one coaching can create room for something that can be difficult to achieve in a crowded classroom:

My name is Joy Kebu, and this is one of the spaces I love to create in my teaching. I don't believe a child should be pressured or overloaded simply to become better academically. I believe children need to be patiently supported, given room to understand, and helped to turn little progress into meaningful growth.
Through personalized one-to-one coaching, I support Primary 6 learners as they prepare for Common Entrance examinations, while paying attention to how each child actually learns.

My lessons are designed for Primary 6 learners preparing for Common Entrance examinations.
I provide personalized one-to-one preparation in English, Mathematics and General Paper, tailored to each learner's current level, strengths, challenges and learning pace.
Rather than simply covering more content, we focus on understanding, intentional practice, revision and exam readiness.
Lessons give students room to ask questions, explain their thinking, work through difficult areas and gradually build the confidence they need to approach their examinations.
The goal is simple: stronger understanding, purposeful preparation and a more confident learner.

I prefer to have an initial free 30 minutes call to help us understand what my student really need, as I offer a personalized teaching experience. So our free class will help us connect and also get a feel of what class is like. The average rate is what’s available. However rates may change if circumstances demands it.
