My pedagogy centers on connecting what music is heard in the students mind and the tools to express. I've been able to play all over the world and tour with many different musicians and the thing that made the core of every great performance was the human interaction and communication. For me music is about being more human. This is something I just as much try to impart and teach in my lessons as theory and technique.

We have known Grady Tesch for 8 years!
We first met in 2017 when our son was just four years old and we were looking to start piano lessons.
Right from the start, we knew Grady was talented, kind, gentle and skilled in teaching all levels of musical learning.
Grady has grown to be a trusted friend. Our son has enjoyed every minute, of every lesson, all these years.
We have also been able to attend many of Grady’s own musical performances, such great experiences for our son to witness.
Grady is an all around wonderful human, with unbelievable talent to boot!Grady is the most amazing teacher and human being!! As a complete beginner I have learned so much and laughed a ton along the way. He is super patient and also always makes sure to make things fun and interesting.
Grady was a fantastic teacher! So patient, helpful, and fun. He meets you at your skill level and helps you advance quickly. Very reliable and timely, too.
Grady is a great teacher. He is smart, enthusiastic, high-energy and supportive. He can handle all skill levels. This guy knows his business. Although I am an older student I know that Grady is terrific with children and teens. I have been playing the piano for over half a century, and I am really pleased to be able to recommend Grady.
Taking piano lessons with Grady greatly shaped my musical ear and boosted my creativity. He gave me exercises I still use today and his supportive teaching made every lesson inspiring. I’m so grateful for the lasting impact he’s had on my musical journey.
I took percussion lesson with Grady back in 2022-2023, and he was always good about being on time, being flexible with my schedule, and teaching in a way I could understand. He had a really good grasp on his technique and gave me more than the surface level answers I could find on YouTube. A great teacher if you’re serious about getting to the next level.
