I have a BCS from Carleton University with a minor in math and a concentration in AI / robotics. I am patient, engaging, and experienced at breaking down difficult technical concepts. I have extensive experience tutoring and have published over 50 articles that teach computer science to a general audience. My goal is to help students understand the material, not just memorize facts or get through specific exercises. I typically start by reviewing the concepts they've recently learned in class, clarifying details and explaining things in a more memorable way. Afterwards I will ask questions or design exercises to ensure that students have a full grasp of the material. For programming, I will also help students debug code or give feedback on style.
