About Maryam
Hi! I’m Maryam, a second-year Pharmacology and Physiology student with a passion for Maths and Science. I’ve studied one year of IB and A-Levels, which gave me a strong foundation in problem-solving and exam skills. I also have experience in high-level competitions, having been ranked 6th nationally in the UAE and 81st internationally in Maths Olympiads.
I love sharing knowledge in a way that’s clear, relatable, and enjoyable. I’m patient and friendly, and I focus on helping students build confidence, understand concepts deeply, and enjoy the learning process. My university background gives me insight into approaching complex topics step by step, so I can make challenging ideas feel manageable.
I’m a strong believer that every student can succeed with the right guidance and encouragement. Outside tutoring, I enjoy exploring science, learning new problem-solving techniques, and finding creative ways to make learning fun.

I believe the best learning happens when students feel curious, confident, and in control of their progress. My lessons make Maths and Science approachable and relevant, showing students not just how to solve problems, but why the concepts work, so they can tackle new challenges with confidence.
Lessons are typically up to 90 minutes and highly interactive. I mix mini-challenges, visual explanations, and real-life examples, and in between teaching, I always check understanding with short questions or exercises to make sure students truly grasp each concept before moving on. This helps build both confidence and mastery, rather than just memorisation.
I also teach exam strategies and skills-building techniques, like concept mapping, structured problem-solving, and self-check methods, so students don’t just learn content—they learn how to think like a scientist or mathematician. My aim is to help students develop independence, curiosity, and strong results, all while enjoying the learning process.
