About Ellie
I am currently studying Social Sciences at the University of Waikato, with a particular passion for Psychology, Criminal Studies, and Geography.
Originally from the UK, I previously studied a similar field at Cardiff University before moving to New Zealand, drawn by family connections and my interest in the geography of the country.
I achieved 11 GCSEs (comparable to NCEA Level 2) and 3 A-Levels (comparable to NCEA Level 3), including Psychology, Geography, and Business Studies.
Having grown up with brothers 5–8 years younger than me, I have always enjoyed helping with homework and revision, which naturally developed into tutoring.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s individual needs, learning style and goals. I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.
A typical lesson may involve reviewing previous work, explaining new or challenging concepts, working through examples together, and finishing with practice questions or activities to reinforce learning. For assessment preparation, I can also help with revision techniques, exam practice and building confidence.
For younger students, I take a more engaging and interactive approach, adapting activities to keep learning enjoyable and age-appropriate.
