About Ijeoma
Hello there! I’m a 35-year-old English tutor currently based in the United Kingdom. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree and a 150-hour TESOL certification from Arizona State University (USA). Right now, I’m furthering my expertise by pursuing a Master’s degree in Education, specialising in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL). Whether you want to boost your English conversation skills, sound more confident, or reach your dream IELTS or PTE score, I’m here to help you every step of the way. I’ve personally scored 88/90 on the PTE test, so I know exactly what it takes to succeed — and I’ll share all the strategies and tips that worked for me! I have been teaching English since 2017, working with learners across a wide range of age groups and proficiency levels. I currently teach English language lessons to Grade 4 and Grade 5 students and also deliver ESL instruction to both children and adults. My teaching approach is dynamic and learner-centred, incorporating TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling), the use of props, and task-based learning methods to create engaging and effective lessons. I focus on helping learners enhance their English speaking and conversational skills, ensuring steady progress towards their language goals. I am available to begin lessons immediately and look forward to supporting students in their English learning journey.
