I'm a second-year Physics student at Oxford, and really enjoy discussing physics - there's always interesting things to be said.

My goal is to give students a grasp of the subject, and to prepare them for exams/interviews they may have.
Lessons are conversational in nature. They'll be centred around solving then discussing interesting problems that display the relevant maths/physics.
My qualifications include 3 years of experience tutoring, and gold in BPhO round 2 and Senior Maths Challenge.
Ideally lessons are for A-level students, or GCSE students also.

Joan Pau is really good at explaining things in a way that actually makes sense. He’s patient, easy to talk to, and always happy to go over something again if you’re stuck. I’d definitely recommend him as a tutor.
Joan is a patient and thoughtful tutor who is excellent at breaking difficult problems into clear, manageable steps. He focuses on building genuine understanding rather than simply giving answers, and I would highly recommend him to any Maths or Physics student.
I highly recommend Joan Pau as a physics tutor - his style definitely helped me gain confidence in my physics. What I liked was that he always pushed me to learn new concepts - if I answered a question flawlessly, he didn't just move on but started a discussion built around my understanding of the question that would leave me thinking.
