About Le-My

I was born and brought up in London, where I attended both a British and a Chinese school, so I am completely bilingual in Mandarin and English. I later became the first student in my school to be admitted to the University of Oxford, where I pursued my passion for languages and literature. I studied for a BA in French & Italian, specialising in post-French Revolution literature, and Italian Renaissance literature. Over the past 10+ years, I have tutored French and Mandarin. Teaching has always brought me immense joy, and I find it to be an incredibly rewarding use of my time.

About the lesson

My personal approach is to assist students in reaching solutions independently, rather than spoon-feeding them ideas and answers. Alongside this, I always encourage students to make links between newly learnt ideas and things that they already know; doing so allows for learning that is both long-lasting and transferable. I appreciate that no two students are the same - I therefore always tailor my lessons to the unique learning style of the student.
