About Charlie
I am an Academic, a Muician and an International Athlete. I have a passion for engineering and maths related problem solving but also enjoy more creative activities such as music and sport! I have been teaching for around 6 months (a mixture of online and in person) to Lower 6th and GCSE students in Cambridge, all of whom have seen improvements to their enjoyment and performance in their studies.

I feel that "learning" a subject can be very tedious and boring but UNDERSTANDING and applying subject knowledge is very enjoyable and rewarding. I always encourage my students to reader wider into areas of their subjects that exite and interest them. Physics, maths and economics are subjects which outsiders seem to think are boring and dull but are actually fascinating when approached in the right way. Exam boards and teachers often just want students to learn facts and do calculations wheras these subjects will only come with ease if a student is willing to really understand WHY and not just what is going on.
