About Emily
I am a second-year DPhil student at Oxford studying chemical biology! I am originally from California, where I completed my undergraduate degree in Chemical Biology from UC Berkeley. I love using chemistry and biology to fully understand and improve the world around me!
Outside of the lab I love to hike, camp, read, and play board games!

I am formally trained as a maths tutor by a tutoring company similar to Kumon. I have tutored maths at all ages and organic chemistry to peers at UC Berkeley. I have also taught lab courses at Oxford.
I use a question-based approach; using guiding questions to allow students to reach conclusions by themselves and fully grasp concepts by encouraging independent thinking. I then follow this up with practice questions to cement understanding. This method works for any age of student at any level!
I can also help students navigate US and UK admissions, with essay help, SAT/ACT test prep, and navigating portals and programmes.
