About Nathaniel
I'm Nathaniel (or more commonly known as Nat) and I am a languages student from Birmingham, UK. I am studying German and Italian (BA) at the University of Manchester. From a young age, language learning has always interested me. Since visiting France on a school trip when I was 10, the idea of communicating with people in their mother tongue absolutely fascinated me. I am on a mission to bring language learning into the 21st century. By that, I don't mean using ChatGPT to do it all for you though! I mean using modern and engaging methods to bring back HUMAN connection to language learning. I am a native English speaker, but I speak French at a near-native level. I know what it's like to not be able to speak French - I've been there, done that, got the t-shirt. Therefore, I know exactly how to explain linguistic concepts in a way that clicks in English, although I am happy to speak entirely in French during sessions if that's something you desire!
