About Emma
I’m currently pursuing a master’s degree in Genetic Counselling in Italy, where I’m learning Italian myself.
I understand the challenges students face when learning a language, from mastering grammar and vocabulary to developing confidence when speaking.
I’m friendly, approachable and patient, and I believe that learning a language should feel encouraging rather than intimidating. I enjoy helping students understand concepts they find difficult, work towards their academic goals and recognise their own progress.

I achieved an H1 in Leaving Certificate French, continued studying French throughout my undergraduate degree in Biotechnology, and spent three months living in Paris developing my practical language skills.
Having recently completed my own secondary-school education and continued learning languages at university, I understand both the academic demands of language exams and the importance of building confidence in speaking and writing.
I can help with:
* Grammar, vocabulary and sentence structure
* Oral exam preparation and speaking confidence
* Written pieces and composition
* Reading and listening comprehension
* Exam technique, revision and individual areas of difficulty
My lessons are tailored to each student’s level, learning style and goals.
