About Andria
Constant improvement drives me to teach because true mastery thrives under the pressure of competition. Coaching students across Adelaide for 6 years has refined my systematic approach to chess, which focuses on pawn structures, tournament preparation, positional understanding, and board vision. My IM title represents years of rigorous international competition, which I integrate into every session to help players build a sharp, competitive mindset.
Pattern recognition and endgame technique form the backbone of my instruction, ensuring every move you make on the board is deliberate. Piece coordination and middlegame planning are secondary to the underlying logic we practice, which allows for consistent FIDE rating growth. Years of recording and notation experience round out the technical foundation I provide.

Focusing on the internal architecture of the game, I treat each hour like a high stakes match. Because I hold an IM title, the tactical depth we cover is significant, yet I ensure the logic remains accessible to those ready for serious progress.
We work through complex lines, treating every board position as a puzzle that yields to the right analytical framework. Developing your board vision involves dissecting past tournament games and identifying where structural weaknesses occurred.
Since I have spent 6 years refining these methods, I emphasize the same drills that brought me success in international circles. We focus on middlegame planning and endgame precision, ensuring you remain calm when the clock starts ticking.
Consistent practice under my guidance shifts the way you view the board, moving beyond intuition into reliable calculation. You will find that these sessions demand discipline, but the structural improvement in your play makes the effort worthwhile. Preparing for your next tournament event requires this level of analytical rigor to reach your goals. I look forward to working with you soon.
