About Yu

Hi, I'm Qian, a native Mandarin Chinese speaker from China.

I hold a certificate in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language (TCFL) and have completed training in HSK teaching.

My professional background includes years of experience in manufacturing and international trade. This has given me practical experience communicating with people from different countries and cultures.

I enjoy sharing the Chinese language and helping learners understand not only vocabulary and grammar, but also how Chinese is used in everyday situations.

I am patient, approachable, and happy to explain things step by step. I can also use simple English to help beginners when needed.

Whether you are learning Chinese for personal interests, exams, travel, or work, I look forward to helping you make progress at your own pace.

About the lesson

My online Mandarin lessons are designed for students who want to learn Chinese at their own pace, from complete beginners to more advanced learners.

I offer HSK 1–5 preparation, YCT lessons for children, everyday conversation, pronunciation and tones, travel Chinese, business Chinese, and Chinese culture.

For beginners, lessons focus on Pinyin, pronunciation, useful vocabulary, and simple conversations. For students with some Chinese knowledge, we can work on speaking fluency, grammar, reading, or specific HSK exam skills.

A typical lesson includes a short review, clear explanations, guided practice, and speaking activities based on real-life situations.

Lessons are adapted to your level, interests, and learning goals. Mistakes are part of learning, so you will have plenty of opportunities to practise and improve your confidence in speaking Chinese.
