About Sophia

I'm a 25-year-old globetrotter with a deep passion for sharing the rich tapestry of the French-speaking world. My journey began at Lycée Victor Hugo in Marrakech, a French school in a vibrant, French-speaking country. At the age of 18, I embarked on a new adventure, moving to the United States. Since then, I've embraced my love for travel and education, using my experiences to teach and inspire others about the diverse cultures and languages of the French-speaking countries I've encountered. Join me on this exciting linguistic and cultural voyage, where we explore the beauty and diversity of the Francophone world together.

About the lesson

My approach as a tutor centers on creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment that caters to individual student needs. I employ a variety of teaching methods and techniques, including interactive conversations, multimedia resources, and customized exercises to enhance language acquisition. A typical lesson plan usually begins with a review of prior knowledge, followed by targeted instruction on grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. We then apply these concepts through conversational practice and reading comprehension. What sets me apart is my emphasis on cultural context, providing students with a holistic understanding of the language. My lessons are tailored for learners of all levels, from beginners to advanced, and cater to specific goals, whether for academic success, professional development, or personal enrichment.
