My chess classes follow a clear progression from fundamentals to structured thinking, so students do not play moves randomly but understand why each move is played.
For complete beginners, I start with the basics of the game:
the value of pieces, basic checkmates (queen mate, double rook mate, rook mate) and essential principles such as piece development, king safety and controlling the center. Students learn practical ideas like why bishops are stronger in open positions and knights perform better in closed positions, instead of memorizing rules blindly.
Once the fundamentals are clear, I introduce a sound classical opening such as the Ruy Lopez, explaining the ideas behind each move, typical plans and common mistakes. The goal is not to memorize theory, but to help students understand how to develop pieces correctly and think strategically from the opening.
To reduce blunders and improve confidence, tactical training is a core part of every class. Students regularly solve chess puzzles as homework, focusing on patterns like forks, pins, discovered attacks and basic combinations. This helps them spot threats earlier and make fewer tactical errors during games.
Endgames are taught from the basics upward, including king and pawn endgames, which pawn endgames lead to a draw and how to convert simple advantages. As students progress, they learn practical endgames that occur frequently in real games, so they know how to finish games properly instead of guessing.
Throughout the course, students are trained to analyze positions move by move, understand the intent behind the opponent’s moves and develop analytical and strategic thinking that applies both to chess and problem solving in general.
Review
All of our reviews are collected by us and are 100% reliable. They correspond to a real experience lived by the students of Aditya.
Perfect! Before working with Aditya, I did not have a structured thinking process and often relied mainly on intuition when deciding what to play. After just two coaching sessions, the Parallax Protocol gave me a clear framework for analysing a position, identifying the most important strategic factors and converting that analysis into a practical long term plan.
I had always been taught that a pawn is worth 1 point, a knight & bishop 3 points, a rook 5 points & a queen 9 points, but I had never understood why. Through the Axiom of Command, Aditya explained the logic and underlying method used to estimate piece values, including why a bishop is not simply worth 4 points and why its practical value is closer to 3.25. He also explained the deeper reasoning behind the bishop pair advantage.
More importantly, he encouraged me to question chess rules that I had previously memorised without understanding. This helped me develop a much deeper and more practical understanding of the game.
During this period, my online blitz rating increased from approximately 1200 to 1450. I would recommend trying Aditya’s free 1 hour assessment session, as it provides a clear understanding of the weaknesses in your game and how they can be addressed.Perfect! Me kafi samay se ak hi rating pe tha.rating bar nehi raha tha.per Aditya sir se coaching ke bad mera galtia mujhe dikhayi dene lagi.sir ne mujhe calculation ke upor ache se samjaya.unka knowledge bhi bahut acha hain game ki upor.unka sikhane ka tarika vi bohot interesting hain.he is excellent coach
Perfect! I used to already attend a chess coaching institute in Thane and I thought I had hit my ceiling until I'started chess coaching sessions with Aditya Sir. For a long time I used to lose games where Stockfish mentioned that I had a better position and I didnt understand why I was losing. In our sessions, sir does something most coaches (atleast in the academy I was attending) dont, he used to give me annotated games while I was playing Classical Rating tournaments after each round and then in the sessions he used to explain in detail why I lost the games and teach the concepts required for me to improve and gave homework for the exact same concepts taught. I remember one specific game we had analyzed where I gifted my opponent the win because I was worried about the kingside attack that wasnt as strong as I believed it to be. He did not only show me the right plans to defend against the attack but also explained me the reason why my brain might have been worried and how to stay calm under pressure. Since then my rating has increased by 300 points. If you want someone who dives into your mistakes and doesnt give generic academy type, one size fits all coaching I would definitely recommend Aditya Sir
Perfect! As a strong player finding a highly fide rated coach with Aditya's technical depth and strategic clarity has been a game changer for my progress. His expertise in opening theory helped me build a robust implement in classical and rapid rating tournaments. During our sessions, his ability to break down complex concept improve my calculation speed has significantly improved my middle game. He goes beyond basic moves, providing structured technique and positional play that has given me a much more professional understanding of the game. If you are looking for high level chess coaching that balances detailed knowledge with a clear analytical teaching style, I would definitely recommend Aditya Bandekar Sir.
- Aditya is an extremely focused student with a natural gift for calculating tactical variations. He has shown an impressive ability to understand complex positional concepts quickly and applied them in practice games which has resulted in a 150 points online rating increase withing the first few days. He is also patient and receptive to feedback and his commitment to becoming a strong rated player is quite evident.Aditya's response :

I have observed that many players think in the middlegame without a clear plan and simply start calculating different variations. I used to approach positions in exactly the same way.
Aditya introduced me to his Parallax Protocol, which brought much needed structure to my thinking and helped me understand what I should actually be looking for before calculating. My decision making and positional understanding have improved significantly since then.
His Axiom of Command also changed the way I understand piece values and concepts such as the bishop pair instead of treating them as only rules. He has built similarly structured frameworks such as the Meridian Principle for strategic planning, Crucible Calculus for calculation and the Inferno Doctrine for attack
What I appreciate most is that the coaching is not about memorising rules or moves, it teaches you a systematic way to think independently over the board.Sir has a very unique coaching style. He makes all the sessions interactive by asking questions to under Clarence's thought process and then guides him towards the right thinking process.
I started coaching with Sir to build a good opening repertoire. I was stuck at a rating of 1950 on Chess.com and wanted to cross 2300, and I didn't have an advantage from the positions which I got out of the opening. Sir helped me prepare Ruy Lopez, Italian Game, English, and Queen's Gambit from White with regards to the pawn structures, long-term ideas, and also explained opponents' ideas in depth. From Black, he helped me prepare Sicilian, French, and Caro-Kann primarily, as I had requested Sir. I am now a much more flexible player due to great opening knowledge and already 2200 on Chess.com.
I had been stuck at a Lichess rating of around 1600 for a long time and had tried several coaches on Superprof. I then decided to attend the free assessment session offered by Aditya Sir and I was impressed by the quality and structure of his thinking and teaching. His Duplex Method completely changed the way I approach middlegame positions where earlier I didnt have any structure to figure our the top moves. It improved my ability to identify plans, evaluate positions and make better decisions during games. My rating has also increase from 1600 to almost 2000 on Lichess. Thank you so much Sir
Coach has been a wonderful guide. He has helped me a lot in improve my chess along with my brother Irfan and I know that my problem solving skills has improved thanks to the thinking process sir taught us
Thank God, I wanted someone with this ocean of wisdom and experience to teach me chess. Sir's method of teaching not only helps you learn chess but also teaches you analytical thinking, strategic thinking, and other strategies useful in life. I will highly recommend sir.
My lessons with Sir have been extremely high value learning. Through the analysis of positions he teaches us not only what is the correct move, variation but also how you can brainstorm to reach the top candidate moves. He helps build a strong foundation on which he gives you relevant homework to help solidify it and additional recommendation which can improve your understanding further. He cares about you and your improvement and his passion for teaching chess reflections in his sesssion Always recommend sir
Bhaijaan gave me a chess crash course to play in our college championship. Although I was only able to afford 8 sessions, I am thankful for Bhai helping me impress Zeba with chess
As a complete beginner I was considering whether I should start playing chess but Sir's coaching made the learning experience extremely fun. He has extremely detailed modules for Openings, Middlegames, Endgames and other chess concepts like How to evaluate a position, a structured thinking method for middlegame etc which was extremely useful. Since I am a adult I would definitely recommend him for all ages
I wanted to teach my 6-year-old son chess so that he could become better in academics, but what I started as a goal to improve him in academics has turned into him falling in love with chess. He is a big fan of Mikhail Tal and his attacking games, and there couldn't have been a better coach to teach my son attacking chess, especially going through his games in Sicilian, defeating International Masters and other strong chess players. He is a great chess coach and the reason my son has a rating.
I knew absolutely nothing about chess but sir taught me from the very basics things like the value and movement of pieces, notations etc to currently I am at a stage where my Chess.com rating ranges between 1200 to 1400 in just a few months. He is a great chess coach and I, Grace recommend him
Sir helped me built an opening repertoire with white he helped me prepare Ruy Lopez, Spanish, Scotch etc. and with Black he helped me prepare multiple lines in the Sicilian. Unlock my previous chess teacher which taught me openings, Sir explained each and every move to me, the pawn structures the ideas behind moves, long term plans, opponents ideas, ideal squares for the pieces etc in the opening which helped me get a better understanding
Sir you are the best teacher
One of the highest rated player on this site and best teacher
I have absolutely no words to describe Sirs dedication since my daughter's chess.com rating increased from 1147 to 1736 in just 3 months. Shoaib recommended me Sir and I am thankful to him
I am thankful to lord Ganesha that we found a great coach like Aditya Sir for my daughter Pranita. Under his mentorship Pranita has become a rated player and her academics has also improved significantly. Sirs love for the game and his patient approach while teaching kids has also sparked Pranita's love for Chess. Aditya sir has extremely good structured curriculum which gives us confidence that she will not only excel in High School but also increase her rating. Thank you Sir
One of the best teachers I have come across Aditya Sir is not one of those teachers who states feel free to ask me any doubts and then get angry if you ask the same question multiple times instead he patiently listens to your doubt and clarifies them in a simple manner which even a kid (even my kid) would understand.
BEST COACH ON SUPERPROF SITE!!!!!
I have spent a long time looking for a coach who doesnt just show tricks but explains the actual positional logic. Aditya is fantastic at this. His 1953 FIDE Rating background is very clear in how he breaks down middlegame planning and coordination of pieces. After looking at the games of Magnus Carlsen I always wanted to learn the way he squeezes his opponents and Aditya Sir is finally teaching it to me using Magnus Carlsen's annotated game. I have noticed a real difference in my ability to handle positional play since we started. He is organized and professional, rare to find this level of technical chess knowledge at this rate!
As a arbiter I have been present at a lot of tournaments where Aditya was playing at the top boards and his table was consistently the most crowded with spectators, both parents and participants watching the games. His attacking games of Sicilian were exciting displaying a level of attacking knowledge that left both the opponents and viewers impressed as if he could write an entire book to teach us how to attack. Having observed his composure and knowledge first hand I can vouch for his exceptional IM level Tal like attacking skills
Alhamdulillah, Aditya sir's approach to tactics has helped me with my calculation and focus. He teaches with great patience and makes even the most technical variations easy to grasp, it is truly Allah's blessing to have such a professional mentor guiding our chess progress
After watching Queen's Gambit, we decided to start chess coaching for 6-year-old Ananya. However, when I looked at online chess coaching, there were either chess coaching academies that all had the same buzzwords and AI slop content, with a generic curriculum not tailored for Ananya in the form of group chess coaching, or extremely expensive private coaching. I was also not sure if Ananya would sit for online chess coaching sessions since she was starting from absolute zero, but Aditya made learning chess extremely enjoyable and super fun. Aditya had amazing patience to lower his level to teach Ananya the basics through enjoyable stories, making her feel chess was like a game rather than difficult or boring work. Ananya also scored an A+ grade in exams, which increased her interest in studies. I am extremely thankful to Aditya for his guidance, not only in chess but also in her studies.
Aditya Paji is a real Ustad no big talks only great coaching. He is a strong coach and is disciplined, no time pass or shortcuts allowed in his class. My daughter Jasmeet was wandering before but now her focus is sharp like a driver on a night route. If you want your children to learn the real chess game with full focus Aditya is the only man for it.
I was in our college female chess team and Ali sir had given the task of selecting the male and female chess team for inter university chess tournament to Aditya since he was the strongest chess player in college. From organizing a smooth selection process to teaching us for a period of 1 month to prepare for the tmt Aditya was a great coach since he taught us more in 1 month than we had ever learned chess. Thank you Aditya
I was at a point where I was ready to quit competitive chess because I felt stuck. I had a solid opening repertoire I'd memorized but then I got totally outplayed in the middlegame or worse survive the complications only to blunder in the endgame. Aditya changed my perspective and taught me opening isnt about memorizing moves but about piece harmony, understanding pawn structures etc. that decide the middlegame plans. We spent weeks on Calculations, prophulaxis which stopped me from panicking when the position got messy. He also taught me technical endgames. He analyzed my actual tournament games and showed me the principle of 2 weaknesses & importance of King activity. Last week in a tournament game at Borivali I converted an equal endgame position because i understood the power of opposition. All the best Sir!
I have been working with sir for a few months now and the biggest change in my game is not only the moves but how I think. He drilled into me the habit of brainstorming candidate moves instead of just reacting, which helped me find much stronger ideas. We have spent a lot of time learning Accelerated Dragon and the Ruy Lopez and I feel like I am selecting the right plans in the middle game. My puzzle rating has also increased by more than 350 points on chess.com and my understanding of the logic behind these systems has improved a lot. I am much more confident in my tournament games and I would definitely suggest him.
I have been taking Online Chess Classes with Aditya Bandekar Sir from my home for about 2 months. We have spent a lot of time on the English Opening and Sicilian Defense and he helped me understand the logic behind the moves and concepts like why Bishops are superior to Knights in open games etc. (I managed to win a tough endgame last week by using the double bishop advantage which we had practiced.) The tactical puzzles he gives me for homework are challenging and have helped me sharpen my Tactical Vision. My rating has already increased by around 150 points in just 8 weeks. If you are looking for a coach who knows Opening Theory & Positional Play I would highly recommend him
