As an experienced music theory teacher, I specialise in translating complex concepts into simple, easy to remember knowledge that students can understand and apply with confidence. I have experience teaching children as young as six and seven, and I am familiar with the examination process, having developed my own exam techniques.
I offer two approaches to learning: a foundation-focused approach, which builds a strong understanding of the fundamentals from Grade 1 onwards, and an exam-focused approach, with students usually able to pass the Grade 5 theory exam in two months. I maintain a 100% pass rate over the past three years, including among children as young as seven.
I believe everyone can learn music theory well if we use the right methodology.
