About Chloe
Hello, my name's Chloe and I'm an MSc student at UCL studying Clinical and Public Health Nutrition. I am a Biology BSc graduate and I have a great passion for all things Biology-related!
Even though I finished school 7 years ago, I still remember my own GCSEs and A Levels keenly. As a result I have a good understanding of the time and effort that goes in to gaining high grades, whilst appreciating what a difficult and hectic time it is for pupils at this age.
In my experience, my favourite subjects at school were always those taught by the most enthusiastic, funny and engaging teachers. I aim to take the same approach in my own teaching, to create a fun and candid learning atmosphere and build trust.
I will take my students through the core principles of Biology not just by ticking boxes through the curriculum, but by explaining thoroughly the logic behind the science in order to engage their critical thinking skills. I plan to fully engage my students, as discussion and Q&A are efficient and enjoyable ways to understand and memorise information.
I will regularly test students using past exam questions and general discussion to ensure they are on track to maximising their marks. Using marking schemes, I will always push them to improve their answers, helping them to understand the difference between a 5 mark answer and a 6 mark answer.
