About Jack

Im keen to show how computing can benefit you! From speeding up the mundane, to building something fun and exciting, we can program diverse applications and learn how software already affects every one of us today. I’ll communicate clearly and at a pace to match you, using my experience with a diverse range of clients.

About the lesson

I take a constructivistic approach to teaching, relating knowledge you already have (about both computing and the real world) to the problems at hand. You’ll become active in your learning and have the freedom to make mistakes! I’ll make sure you can translate your natural thinking into computational thinking in no time.

We can work together to create a learning pathway for specific topics and content you’re interested in, or I can deliver sessions across the software development lifecycle - from programming basics to requirement specifications, software architectures, and application deployment.

Sessions are typically 1 hour when working through specific tasks, or up to 2 hours for new content delivery.

I have previous experience delivering beginner sessions and undergraduate seminars.

Perfect! Jack has been easy to work with and helped me to understand parts of programming which I found hard to learn before. Jack has been helping me with programming and coding and has explained everything so clearly and he has a good method of asking me to explain things back which has definitely helped my knowledge. He has made me so much more confident with my studies so I would definitely recommend Jack.

Jack is a great tutor. He is able to explain complex concepts (an example being computer coding) in a way that make sense to someone approaching the subject for the first time.

He is patient and thorough and will break down subject matter by relating it to real world examples which I find really helpful. I would defineitley recommed Jack if you are looking for a tutor! :)
