About Phoebe
I graduated Year 12 in 2020 with an ATAR of 99.80 (99.95 with adjustment factors) as the Dux of my College. I received subject merits in Mathematical Methods, Chemistry, Biology and the Research Project, as well as earning an A+ in English and an A in Physics. I also completed the UCAT in 2020 with a score of 3260 (99th percentile). This year, I am studying a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Adelaide and am currently based in North Adelaide but willing to travel for tutoring sessions.
I consider myself to be a patient and encouraging person. I was a Student Leader and House Captain during Year 12, and Student Representative in Years 10-11. This, combined with my tutoring experience and previous part-time job in retail sales, has allowed me to communicate with a range of people, particularly students. Having gone through the stresses of SACE and the UCAT very recently, I remember the strategies I used to achieve success very clearly and can apply them to teaching current students.

I am a flexible tutor happy to adjust teaching styles, the length of lessons and focus areas based on the student. Typically, I suggest one hour-long tutoring lesson per week for each subject. Each lesson involves time for identification of problem areas, explaining difficult concepts and working through practice questions. I have experience tutoring Mathematics for years 7-12 but am also confident in tutoring SACE Chemistry, Biology, Research Project, English and Physics as well as year 7-10 Mathematics, English and Science. An hour-long tutoring lesson costs $20, and is offered in-person in Adelaide during the school term or online over zoom at any time in the year. I have flexible availability and am able to schedule tutoring sessions after school on weekdays or on weekends. I am also more than happy to negotiate drafting services for the aforementioned subjects.
