About Eleanor
I am a student with a strong academic background in Maths and the sciences, and I enjoy helping students build confidence in their learning. My tutoring approach is structured and can be flexible depending on the student's individual goals. I focus on breaking topics down into clear, manageable steps and teaching good exam technique as well as understanding. My aim is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking any question and can make steady, measurable progress towards their GCSE goals.

A typical session involves a clear aim at the very beginning, e.g. learning how to solve linear equations. This is followed by gentle warm-up questions, guided examples, student practice then finally a summary and question time. Classes last 60 minutes. I have used this structure to tutor GCSE physics students during my time in sixth form and seen great results. Currently I study medicine and have a strong foundation in maths having studied further maths at A level.
