Medical student and past A-level biology Grade A student at a top 3 school offering personalised GCSE and A-level biology tuition

I started working with Athena for GCSE Biology when I was finding some of the more complicated topics really difficult to understand. She has a brilliant way of taking something that initially seems overwhelming and turning it into a series of simple, manageable ideas. What I appreciate most is that Athena doesn't rely on one teaching method. She uses diagrams, explanations, questions and real-life examples depending on what works best for you. One lesson I particularly remember was on the heart and circulatory system, where she used a simple step-by-step explanation to help me understand the entire process rather than just memorising it. Athena is knowledgeable, friendly and genuinely invested in helping her students improve.

I know Athena through A-level Biology tutoring, and she has been incredibly helpful, particularly when it comes to exam technique. Her lessons aren't just about memorising content — she teaches you how to apply your knowledge to unfamiliar questions, which is something I found difficult before working with her. By the end of our sessions, I understand not only the answers but also why I had made mistakes in the first place.
I really appreciate how organised and adaptable her lessons are. She identifies exactly what you need to improve and focuses on it without wasting time. I would highly recommend Athena to any A-level Biology student looking to improve their grades and exam confidence.

I met Athena through GCSE Biology tutoring, and she has been an amazing tutor from the very beginning. What I appreciate most about her teaching is how patient and encouraging she is. She never makes you feel embarrassed for getting something wrong and always takes the time to explain difficult topics in a way that actually makes sense. Athena broke everything down step-by-step and used simple examples until I was confident enough to answer exam questions on my own. She also taught me how to recognise what examiners are actually looking for rather than just memorising information.

Athena has tutored me in Biology throughout my time at sixth form, and I can confidently say now I've received my A level results and gotten into my firm university, I could not have done it without Athena. I couldn't seem to find a way to make Biology stick but Athena explained it in a number of different ways until she found what worked for me. My scores and confidence increased tremendously and I give her my full recommendation.
