About Andries
I am a 22 year old, christian, mechanical engineering graduate from Stellenbosch University. I grew up in a small rural town in the north of Namibia, where a lot of self discipline was required.
My interest has always been in Maths and Physics, which lead me to study engineering. I am also a serious bookworm, which helped me achieve distinctions for Afrikaans and English in Matric. I enjoy explaing concepts I find interesting to others to stimulate their curioisy and improve their understanding.

Being an engineering student, I want to know how things work from first principles, how it fits into the bigger picture and how that can be applied to do useful stuff. I follow the same methodology in my teaching, with a balance between theoretical explanations and practice.
I am proficient in English and Afrikaans, and can speak some German.
My lessons are aimed at high school students doing STEM subjects.
