If you want someone who is down-to-earth and understands the struggle of not understanding math, I'm the person for you.
Here is my approach:
-First analyze where your misunderstanding is stemming from.
-Then explain the material in understand terms.
-Then let the student attempt the material.
-Then work out the material alongside the student.
I remember struggling in some courses and wished someone would read through the problem with me in a patient manner and would walk alongside me as I work the problem out.
