About Sophie
Hello parents,
My name is Sophie, and I am a Year 2 Economics student at the University of Warwick, offering one-to-one private Maths tutoring for secondary school students.
I achieved Grade 9 in GCSE Maths (235/240) after relocating from Hong Kong to the UK in 2022, with only one month of independent preparation. I also achieved A* in A-Level Maths, and A grades in Further Maths and Economics.

Maths & Further Maths Tutoring - GCSE and A-Level
With over 4 years of online tutoring experience, I have a strong understanding of GCSE and A-Level exam structures, common question types, and effective exam techniques. Having studied in Hong Kong, I also teach efficient problem-solving methods and mathematical approaches that are often not covered in UK classrooms, helping students work faster and more confidently in exams.
Proven Results:
• A Year 8 student moved from Set 3 → Set 2 in one month, and Set 2 → Set 1 in two months
• A Year 11 student improved from a Grade 4 in mocks to a Grade 6 in GCSE Maths, moving from foundation to higher tier after 6 months of tutoring
