About Aondoyima
Maths quickly became a passion for me in school, and I went on to do physics at Oxford. I specialised in biophysics for my master's, which led me to a PhD at Bristol where I used mathematical models to explain embryo development. I've just finished my first research job at the Max Planck Institute using maths to design novel materials.

I think the best way to learn maths is to practice. It won't stick unless you test yourself and try to use what you've learned in different ways.
I'll help you identify whether you're lacking knowledge or understanding. If the gap is knowledge, then guided practice is the go to: I'll set simple questions and give you hints so that you can start making the connections yourself. If the gap is understanding, we will find something you already understand and try to build from there.

I have observed Aondoyima (Deems) teach tutorials at university level. His calm and engaging persona allows for the simple communication of ideas, from elementary to the more complex. He is also open to explaining concepts in many ways to help the learner fully understand a concept. Well prepared, well organised, and with excellent time management, I have no hesitation in recommending him as a tutor.
Aondoyima taught my quantum mechanics and mathematical biology tutorials and cosupervised my undergraduate dissertation in maths. He was a great teacher, always willing to take questions and give clear answers! He was always on time and a lovely guy to be around.
