About Hailey
I have a big passion for giving back to the community in whatever ways I can. One of the ways I enjoy this is by working with students especially those who experienced struggles I went through in my childhood. Growing up, I was a special needs student and had many challenges I had to overcome especially in my academics. There are various teachers whom I had in my life (won't mention names, you know who you are) who really helped me and changed my perspective on learning. And with their help, I overcame so much. And so I aim to provide my students with that same support.

I typically teach students based on their needs and learning preferences. So for example, if I have a student who typically learns differently from other students I can show adaptability by using pictures and illustrations rather than focus solely on words.
My typical lesson plan is if I am teaching new content, I would start by breaking down each detail by means of defining certain words and steps for the content, then modeling one or two examples, and then after that, I would give the students the opportunity once they have shown a solid understanding of the skill to practice independently.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my adaptability and flexibility especially as I may come across students with special needs who may need to have the topics explained in a different approach. Also, I can be flexible and adaptable to the best of my ability by being willing to tutor students at a time that is convenient for them and adjusting my schedule to the extent to accommodate their needs.
These lessons are for me to gain more experience working with children and to continually up my passion for it.
