About Mia
My math lessons are designed for students aiming to excel in exams like the SAT, GRE, and GMAT. Each session is intensive and focused on solving problems efficiently under pressure. I help you identify common test pitfalls and develop strategies to maximize your score. We analyze past papers to understand patterns and anticipate tricky questions. Timed drills improve speed, accuracy, and confidence. You’ll learn how to approach each problem with a clear plan and avoid mistakes that cost valuable points. The lessons are structured to build both skill and mindset. You’ll practice managing time, staying calm under pressure, and thinking logically even in challenging situations. Every exercise is designed to strengthen problem-solving and mental resilience. I provide personalized guidance to ensure you approach each section strategically. Feedback is specific and actionable, helping you improve step by step. By the end of our sessions, you’ll enter your exam fully prepared and confident.

I’m a Maths tutor with over 7 years of experience and a Master’s in Computational Mathematics. I focus on making advanced math accessible and meaningful, especially for students outside STEM fields. Many of my students are from liberal arts or humanities backgrounds, and I enjoy helping them discover math in a new light.
I use everyday analogies to make abstract ideas more intuitive. Historical context often brings these concepts to life, showing how mathematical discoveries have shaped knowledge over centuries.
I highlight the big ideas behind topics like functions, trigonometry, and calculus, helping students see patterns and connections across the subject. Lessons are tailored, interactive, and designed to build confidence gradually. I work patiently with students who have struggled with math before, helping to replace fear with curiosity.
