About Fior

I am a dedicated and highly qualified math tutor with an undergraduate degree in Economics and a master’s degree in Finance, bringing a strong analytical foundation to every lesson I teach. My academic background requires precision, logical thinking, and clear problem-solving—skills that directly translate into effective math instruction across all levels. I specialize in teaching Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus, and I also support students preparing for SAT Math and GMAT Quantitative sections. Having personally studied for and performed well on these standardized exams, I understand both the content and the strategies required to succeed. I approach tutoring with a high level of professionalism, structure, and accountability. Each session is thoughtfully planned, goal-oriented, and tailored to the student’s needs. I prioritize clear explanations, conceptual understanding, and efficient methods so students not only improve their performance but also gain confidence in their abilities. My goal is to create a supportive and focused learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and tackling challenging material. Whether a student is strengthening foundational skills, preparing for an important exam, or aiming for higher academic performance, I provide reliable guidance, consistent support, and proven instructional methods.

About the lesson

My approach as a tutor is concept-first and strategy-driven. Rather than having students memorize formulas or procedures, I focus on helping them understand why the math works. With a background in economics and a master’s degree in finance, I naturally connect math concepts to logic, patterns, and real-world applications, which helps students retain information and apply it confidently on exams.

I break down complex ideas into simple, intuitive steps, identify common points of confusion, and adjust explanations to each student’s learning style. I emphasize mental frameworks, estimation, and problem-setup skills so students can tackle unfamiliar questions independently.
